Our next stop is the Sun Temple of Niuserre.
The site features a huge sacrificial altar built of five large blocks of Egyptian alabaster with a circular sun center and four surrounding “hotep” hieroglyphs for offering, the whole meaning "May Re be satisfied.”
On returning to the bus, after the walk through lush palm tree lined farmland, these kids met us and we gifted them with pens and toys.
